Plasmablastic Lymphoma of the Kidney in a Previously Undiagnosed HIV Patient

We present the case of a 61-year-old male who presented with flank pain and dysuria. A biopsy histopathological analysis mass found in left kidney led to diagnosis plasmablastic lymphoma (PBL). The is not commonly reported site presentation for PBL current literature.1,2 As part routine workup, HIV testing was ordered resulting positive preliminary confirmatory results. patient denied awareness his status. Chemotherapy uricosuric agents antiretroviral therapy initiated, but developed tumor lysis syndrome phosphate nephropathy leading discontinuation regimen.
